When your right to cancel a purchase of meshloader expires early—and exactly what you are confirming during the ordering process.
1. What This Is About
meshloader is a digital product: No physical package is shipped. Once payment is received, you will receive a coupon code or license key via email and can download the software immediately.
A license key cannot be returned. The law therefore provides that the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content may expire early—but only under clearly defined conditions. This page explains those conditions.
2. The Three Requirements
Under Section 18(1)(11) of the FAGG, your right of withdrawal expires prematurely only if all three conditions are met:
-
You expressly agree that we may begin providing the service before the 14-day cancellation period expires.
-
Please be aware that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service begins.
-
We will confirm this consent to you on a durable medium, specifically in the order confirmation sent via email.
If any of these conditions are not met, your right to cancel remains in full force.
3. What You Confirm During the Order Process
In the final step of the ordering process, actively check the box next to the following statement:
I expressly agree that NEED immersive reality GmbH may begin providing the ordered digital content before the withdrawal period expires. I understand that I will lose my right of withdrawal as soon as the provision of the content has begun.
The checkbox is not checked by default. You must check it yourself—otherwise, the order cannot be completed.
4. If you do not wish to consent
You are not required to give this consent. If you do not wish to give it, please contact us at office@xr-need.com before placing your order. We will then process the order manually and will not provide the coupon code and license key until the fourteen-day period has expired. In this case, your right to cancel remains unaffected until the end of the period.
5. What This Means in Everyday Life
-
You have redeemed the coupon and received the license key: The provision of the product has begun, and your right to cancel has expired.
-
You've paid but haven't redeemed the coupon yet: The provision of the coupon code is already considered the start of the service period. Please contact us anyway—we'll look into your specific case.
-
If the software isn't working as promised, this is a warranty issue, not a matter of the right to cancel. Your warranty claims remain completely unaffected by the expiration of the right to cancel. Please contact us, and we'll find a solution.
6. Test it beforehand
To avoid having to purchase the software just to find out if meshloader works with your models, a free trial version is available. This trial does not entail any paid subscription and therefore does not involve any cancellation policy. We strongly recommend that you try it out first.
7. For Business Owners
If you are placing an order as a business owner within the meaning of Section 1(1)(1) of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG), you have no statutory right of withdrawal from the outset. In that case, points 2 through 5 on this page do not apply to you.
8. Full Disclosure
You can find the complete cancellation policy, including a sample cancellation form, under "Cancellation Policy." The contractual terms are set forth in the General Terms and Conditions and the End User License Agreement.
